The primary goal of GW School Supply is to help teachers teach and children learn. We have partnered with the City of Fresno's "Grow Up Green" educational program for classrooms. This program correlates with the California Academic Science Standards. It teachers children about our natural resources and ho and what to recycle. GW School Supply wants to protect our land for our future children. To help achieve this goal, we have sent 4 pallets of used computer equipment to recycling centers, taken old fixtures to scrap recycling areas and continue collecting soda cans in house for recycling purposes instead of filling our landfills. We recycle cardboard and paper at many of our store locations. Our construction paper is made from a minimum of 90% recycled paper and is also made in the USA. Our packing material is biodegradable peanuts and newspaper brought in by staff members. We also reuse materials sent to us by our manufacturers.
We realize these are only small steps. We can all do our part in helping to create a bright future for our children if we practice the "Three R's":
1. Reduce: use the front and back on all paper.
2. Reuse: donate gently used items to local charities (clean out closets and cupboards).
